Singer-actress Klarisse de Guzman is mourning the loss of her mother, Esnobie de Guzman.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, October 24, Klarisse shared a black-and-white photo showing her appearing to grieve beside her mother, who was lying in a hospital bed.
In her caption, the singer expressed her love for her late mother, writing, “Mahal na mahal kita, Mama ko. Iyakap mo na lang ako kay Papa ah. Mahal na mahal ko kayo.”
Klarisse has yet to disclose the cause of her mother’s death.
Days before announcing the loss, the singer had asked for prayers for her mother’s condition through her Instagram broadcast channel on October 20.
“Namamanhid ako. I’m scared. Puwede niyo po ba isama si Mama sa prayers niyo?” she wrote.
Messages of condolences and support have since poured in from friends, fellow artists, and fans.
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Will Ashley, Xyriel Manabat, River Joseph, and Mika Salamanca expressed their sympathy, while fellow singers Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan, Gary Valenciano, and Rita Daniela also extended their condolences.
Ashley Ortega likewise offered her sympathies to Klarisse and her family.
