KORONADAL CITY – NAKATANGGAP ang provincial government ng South Cotabato sa pamamagitan ng Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) ng P 26.6 million na halaga ng agricultural machinery mula sa Department of Agriculture – Philippine Center for Post Harvest Development and Mechanization (DA-PHilMech).
Ang turn-over ay isinagawa sa Provincial Demonstration Farm sa Brgy. Reyes, Banga kamakailan lamang.
Kabilang sa natanggap ng probinsya ang 60 units ng iba’t ibang mga uri ng makinarya sa ilalim ng Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) – Mechanization Program.
Ito ay binubuo ng 6 units ng hand tractors, 14 units ng floating tillers, 3 units ng precision seeders, 8 units walk-behind transplanters, 4 units riding-type transplanters, 4 units ng combine harvesters, 8 units ng rice reapers, 1 unit ng recirculating dryer, 2 units ng mobile rice mills, kag 1 unit ng single pass (stationary).
Makikinabang dito ang mga magsasaka ng miyembro ng 19 na mga Farmer Cooperatives and Association (FCA) sa South Cotabato.
Sa pamamagitan ng naturang mga agricultural interventions, matutulungan ang mga magsasaka na mapaigting pa ang kanilang productivity, profitability at global competitiveness.
Ang turn-over ceremony at ribbon cutting ay pinangunahan ni PhilMech National Director Joel Dator, Vice Governor Arthur Pingoy Jr at iba pang mga opisyales ng South Cotabato.
