₱15.6-million worth of shabu seized in Davao City buy-bust operation

A suspected ₱15.6 million worth of shabu was seized by authorities during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bago Gallera, Davao City on Thursday night, May 14.

According to the report of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the suspect was identified only by the alias “Bai,” who was considered a High-Value Individual (HVI) in illegal drug operations.

Police said the operation was conducted at around 8 p.m. by personnel of the DCPO in coordination with the Baliok Police Station.

During the operation, authorities positively purchased and recovered large packs of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱15,640,000.

Aside from the suspected illegal drugs, authorities also recovered a .357 caliber revolver loaded with two live rounds of ammunition.

The arrested suspect will face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
