Two individuals were found dead inside a boarding house room in Barangay R. Castillo, Davao City, during the early hours of May 13.
According to the report from Sta. Ana Police Station, one of the victims was identified as Joy, a female security guard. The male victim who was with her remains unidentified as of this writing.
Authorities said fellow boarders reported hearing a gunshot, prompting police response. Upon entering the room, officers discovered the lifeless bodies of the two victims.
Both suffered gunshot wounds to the head. Investigators recovered a 9mm pistol at the scene, along with spent shells and personal belongings.
CCTV footage showed the woman entering the room, followed shortly by the man. Both were later found dead inside the same room.
The Sta. Ana Police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances behind the incident and whether foul play or a possible murder-suicide is involved.
The authorities have yet to confirm the exact relationship between the victims. Identification of the male remains ongoing.
