VP Sara Duterte urges public to honor OFWs’ sacrifices this Holy Week

Sara Duterte called on the public to recognize the sacrifices of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), particularly those in the Middle East amid rising tensions in the region.

In her video message, the vice president said Holy Week is a time to reflect on the sacrifices of the Lord, serving as a reminder that the true meaning of life is found in serving others.

According to Duterte, OFWs are living examples of sacrifice.

She added that prayers are being offered for the safety of Filipinos currently affected by the situation in the Middle East.

The vice president also encouraged the public to take to heart the welfare of the Philippines during the Lenten season.

She urged Filipinos to pray for a society guided by truth, justice, and genuine compassion.

In closing, she expressed hope that the sacrifice of Jesus would inspire unity toward a stronger and more progressive nation.
