Tulfo vows to cooperate with majority, opposition

House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo expressed readiness to cooperate with both the majority and opposition in the Senate, should he officially secure a seat in the chamber.

Tulfo emphasized that collaboration among lawmakers is what Filipinos want to see. His first move, he said, would be to engage with the Senate President, majority bloc, and opposition senators to establish open lines of communication.

The senator-hopeful said the six-year term is short and must be maximized to deliver on promises to the people. He stressed that a united Senate is essential in addressing poverty, creating jobs, improving healthcare, promoting justice, and expanding access to education.

Tulfo also warned against public disappointment, urging fellow legislators to focus on the next steps in service delivery.

Tulfo plans to push for better compensation for barangay officials and health workers. He also aims to review the Rice Tariffication Law, increase the education budget, institutionalize sustainable livelihood programs, and strengthen support for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

According to partial and unofficial results from the 2025 midterm elections, Tulfo is among the top five senatorial candidates.
