Residents of Davao Oriental expressed gratitude to Brigada News FM Tagum, Davao, and Mati after the stations launched their third “Brigadahan” relief mission for earthquake survivors in the province.
More than 370 families from the towns of Manay and Caraga received food packs containing rice, canned goods, bottled water, clothes, and other essentials. The donations came from Brigada News listeners who responded to the team’s public call for assistance.

A resident from Purok Poblacion, Barangay Mercedez in Caraga thanked the group for providing tarpaulins that now serve as temporary shelter after their homes were declared unsafe. Many families, however, continue to struggle with the lack of clean drinking water and durable materials for makeshift housing.
Residents said several barangays in the province have yet to receive any government aid.
In response, Brigada News FM assured that it will continue the Brigadahan relief drive, with a fourth batch of assistance scheduled in the coming days.

The relief operations began on the night of October 10, shortly after a strong earthquake struck parts of Davao Oriental. The three Brigada stations continue to appeal for donations, especially tarpaulins and potable water, to reach more affected communities.
