Responders immediately rushed to the scene but declared the young rider dead due to severe injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities said the van driver remained at the site and cooperated with police investigators.

Traffic investigators are now determining the exact cause of the collision, examining factors such as road conditions, lighting, and possible overspeeding.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud impact before seeing both vehicles wrecked on the road.

Police reminded motorists, especially young riders, to exercise caution and follow speed limits, noting that the Davao Coastal Road has become a common site for accidents involving motorcycles.
