Taguig City police attempted to serve the arrest warrant issued against resigned congressman Zaldy Co at his condominium unit in Bonifacio Global City. The Sandiganbayan ordered the arrest in connection with an alleged violation of Section 3 of Republic Act 3019, the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.
Police officers went to Unit 56 C-D of Horizon Homes at Shangri-La, BGC, around 11 a.m. on Saturday to deliver the warrant. When they arrived, Duty Manager Richard Paul Estampa and Security Manager Miguel Del Prado informed the team that Co was not in the unit. They also said the unit had been sealed for nearly a month, indicating that it had not been occupied for some time.
Authorities said validation, surveillance, and monitoring efforts will continue as they work to locate and arrest Co. The warrant remains active, and officers are preparing for immediate service once they confirm his whereabouts.
The visit to the Taguig property is part of ongoing efforts to find Co amid his absence from the country. No additional details on his location or possible movements were mentioned in the incident report.
