Several gas stations in Davao City may run out of fuel by next week

Several gas stations in Davao City are now facing fuel shortages, with their remaining supply expected to last only until next week.

The Police Regional Office 11 continues its monitoring efforts to assess fuel prices and overall supply conditions across the region.

Authorities have inspected several of the 632 gas stations to ensure compliance with regulations and prevent possible hoarding activities.

Police Major Catherine Dela Rey confirmed a new directive allowing officers to conduct underground tank inspections in gas stations.

She explained that dipping inspections help determine the remaining fuel levels, especially in stations that have already suspended operations.

In Ulas District, a gasoline attendant revealed that their current fuel supply may be depleted within the next few days.

He stated that diesel is already out of stock, leaving only a limited amount of premium gasoline available for consumers.

The attendant also said they have no clear schedule yet for the arrival of their next fuel delivery at the station.

Based on PRO 11 records as of March 27, 2026, at least eight gas stations have temporarily closed due to insufficient supply.

Authorities maintain strict monitoring to stabilize fuel availability, ensure fair pricing, and prevent panic buying among consumers in the region.
