Sen. JV to flood control graft suspects: ‘you have a special place in hell’

Senator JV Ejercito minced no words in condemning those allegedly behind “ghost” flood control projects, saying they deserve a “special place in hell.”

His statement comes amid mounting controversy over questionable flood control projects across the country.

Earlier, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. revealed a list of 15 contractors who had secured the majority of flood control projects nationwide. The move fueled debate over alleged irregularities in government infrastructure spending.

Senate President Chiz Escudero, meanwhile, denied accusations that he had interfered in bidding processes involving one of his campaign donors. Speaking at a press conference, Escudero dismissed the claims and insisted he had no involvement in such transactions.

Former senator and presidential candidate Ping Lacson also weighed in, posting that he is ready to deliver his first privilege speech in response to Marcos’ challenge to name those responsible for the alleged ghost projects.
