VP Sara Duterte still leads 2028 presidential race – WR Numero Survey

Vice President Sara Duterte remains the top choice for president in the 2028 elections, according to the latest WR Numero Research survey, despite a noticeable dip in her numbers.

The pre-election preference poll, conducted from July 29 to August 6, 2025, asked 1,418 respondents who they would vote for if the 2028 elections were held today. Duterte secured 31.4 percent support, a seven-point drop from the firm’s April 2025 survey.

Former Vice President Leni Robredo climbed to second place with 13.3 percent. Senator Raffy Tulfo, who previously ranked second, dropped by 4.9 points to 10.3 percent, placing him in third.

Senator Bong Go posted significant gains, taking fourth place at 6.5 percent. Senator Imee Marcos followed in sixth place with 4.4 percent. Senator Bam Aquino made his first appearance in the rankings, garnering 3.1 percent.

Eighteen percent of respondents said they remain undecided on their presidential choice.

For the vice-presidential race, Bong Go led with 16.2 percent, followed by Senators Raffy Tulfo, Bam Aquino, and Robin Padilla, as well as former senator Grace Poe.

The survey results indicate shifting voter preferences less than three years before the official campaign period begins.
