Nalakip ni President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa iyang ikaduhang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ang Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC) project isip usa sa mga flagship infrastructure development ventures sa iyang administrasyon.
Giduso ni PBBM ang pagtukod sa nasangpit nga proyekto sa SIDC bisan paman og dunay mga misupak nga mga local environmental groups sa kasamtangang pag-align sa multi-billion bridge project.
Matud pa ni Marcos nga ubos sa “Mega-Bridge Program” sa iyang administrasyon, dugang mga proyekto sa imprastraktura ang tukoron aron mapadali ang paglambo sa ekonomiya.
Dugang pa sa pangulo nga duna pay dose ka mga tulay diin 90 ka kilometros ang itukod nga musumpay sa mga isla ug pipila ka mga lugar.
“ We are opening up all gateways to mobilize goods and services at less cost and in less time, and ultimately, to drive the economy forward, under the mega bridge program, 12 bridges totally 90 kilometers will be constracted” -PBBM.
