Private plane crashes in Maguindanao del Sur, killing four

Four individuals lost their lives when a private plane crashed into a rice field in Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur, at noon on February 6.

According to initial information from Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) – Maguindanao del Sur Chief for Operations Tim Ambolodto, authorities have yet to confirm the identities of the victims. Reports suggest that all four passengers may have been foreign nationals, but verification is still ongoing.

The aircraft, bearing body number N349CA, went down in Barangay Malatimon, damaging nearby property. A carabao sustained injuries in the crash, but no other civilians were harmed.

Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the incident and the purpose of the aircraft’s flight in the area.
