A police officer accused of raping a 17-year-old girl inside a bunkhouse on January 15 is now in restrictive custody, authorities confirmed Tuesday.

Instead of taking her home, the officer allegedly brought her to a bunkhouse at the Traffic Enforcement Unit. There, he reportedly invited her to drink alcohol before the alleged assault took place.

Authorities are awaiting results from a medico-legal examination as part of the ongoing investigation. Olaivar emphasized that the GSCPO is committed to ensuring justice for the victim.
