The Philippine Army (PA) attended the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX) this week in South Korea, engaging with advanced military technologies and reinforcing partnerships with international defense leaders, the army said Thursday, October 23.
The six-day event, held from October 18 to 23, showcased drone warfare, integrated systems, and other advanced technologies shaping the future of military operations.
Military leaders, defense experts, and innovators from around the world demonstrated new capabilities and exchanged insights on modern warfare strategies.
On October 21, top Philippine and South Korean army officials met on the sidelines of ADEX to discuss cooperation, technology sharing, and strategies for regional security.
PA spokesperson Colonel Louie Dema-ala said the engagement “further solidified the PA’s defense ties with ROKA, advancing a free, open, and secure Indo-Pacific region.”
Dema-ala added that the army’s participation highlights its proactive approach to modernizing ground forces, strengthening human capital, and enhancing land defense under the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Operations.
By engaging directly with global defense innovations and strategic partners, the Philippine Army signals its commitment to modernize its forces and prepare for evolving regional threats.*
