The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has officially rolled out its “Permitting on Wheels” program across various parts of the country to bring government services closer to the public, particularly to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Under the initiative, permitting services will be delivered directly to cities and municipalities once a month.
During the launch at Plaza San Lorenzo Ruiz, DENR Secretary Juan Miguel Cuna said the program aligns with the directive of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to bring government services closer to the people and make them faster and more accessible.
The program aims to ease the burden on the public amid ongoing challenges.
Applicants can also file on the spot for permits such as tree cutting permits, chainsaw import permits, certificates of transshipment, wildlife importation permits, and wildlife local transport permits.
Following the nationwide rollout, the DENR is considering institutionalizing “Permitting on Wheels” as a regular monthly service to further ensure accessible support for business growth.
