Malacañang on Monday said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. continues to trust Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco and Health Secretary Ted Herbosa, dismissing rumors about their standing in the Cabinet.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said speculation circulating online about supposed public dissatisfaction and possible replacement of the two officials is unfounded.
Castro said the alleged issues involving Frasco and Herbosa are “pure speculation” and are not being discussed within the Palace. She added that the President’s trust in both secretaries remains intact.
Frasco has faced criticism on social media over her tourism promotions, with some users claiming the campaigns focus more on visuals than on the country’s scenic destinations. Meanwhile, Herbosa has repeatedly been the subject of rumors suggesting he could be replaced as health secretary.
Despite the online criticism and speculation, Castro said there are no discussions about removing either official from their posts.
She added that the President continues to remind all Cabinet members to perform their duties well, avoid corruption, and prioritize the welfare of Filipinos.
Castro said the administration remains focused on governance and public service, and that Cabinet members are expected to carry out their responsibilities in line with the President’s directives.
Malacañang did not provide further details but reiterated that both Frasco and Herbosa retain the President’s confidence as they continue serving in their respective roles.
