P44M worth of shabu seized in Davao del Norte raid

A major anti-illegal drug operation led to the arrest of two regional high-value drug personalities and the seizure of 6.537 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P44,451,600 in Davao del Norte.

The joint operation was conducted at around 6:30 a.m. on February 15, 2025, at Oakwood Residence, Purok 2, Barangay New Visayas, Panabo City. Authorities arrested the region’s top 1 and top 3 drug personalities, both listed in the regional priority 10 High-Value Individuals (HVI).

During the raid, authorities confiscated:

  • Six zip-sealed plastic bags of suspected shabu
  • Eight plastic sachets of suspected shabu
  • One genuine P1,000 bill with 199 machine copies
  • 200 machine copies of a P500 bill
  • One smartphone
  • One weighing scale
  • One gray plastic container

The suspects are now under the custody of the Davao del Norte Police Provincial Office (DNPPO) in Panabo City. A case is being prepared against them for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

PRO 11 Regional Director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete warned drug peddlers that law enforcement remains firm in the fight against illegal drugs. “We will not waver in our pursuit of those who threaten the safety and future of our communities,” he said.

The successful operation was carried out by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11, in coordination with PDEA and other law enforcement units.
