Marcos thanks voters, urges unity after peaceful elections

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday thanked the Filipino people for their active participation in the recently concluded elections, calling it a testament to the country’s strong democracy.

In a post-election statement, Marcos highlighted the peaceful and orderly conduct of the polls, saying it reflected the nation’s democratic maturity.

He stressed, however, that elections are not only a celebration of continuity but also a reminder to leaders to address key issues such as high prices, job scarcity, and corruption.

He praised losing candidates for their courage and dedication to public service, emphasizing that service to the nation does not end with an election result.
