The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show cause order against a vlogger following a viral video of an alleged road rage incident on a public road.
In a statement, the LTO said the order requires the vlogger to explain possible violations related to reckless driving and concerns over fitness to operate a motor vehicle. The agency acted after the footage circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention to the reported confrontation.
The LTO noted that the incident may involve unsafe behavior on the road, prompting authorities to begin an investigation. While the inquiry is ongoing, the agency imposed a temporary suspension of the vlogger’s driver’s license for 90 days.
In addition, the vehicle allegedly used during the incident has been placed under alarm status. This means the vehicle is now flagged as part of the case while the investigation continues.
The LTO emphasized that it will not tolerate dangerous and undisciplined conduct on public roads, especially actions that could put motorists and pedestrians at risk.
Officials said the show cause order is part of the agency’s effort to enforce traffic regulations and ensure accountability among drivers, regardless of social media status or public profile.
The case remains under review as authorities determine whether further penalties or legal steps will be necessary based on the results of the investigation.
The LTO reiterated its warning that reckless driving and aggressive behavior will be met with enforcement measures, as road safety remains a priority for protecting the public.
