Most Filipinos want President Bongbong Marcos to focus on bringing down the cost of goods, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
The survey revealed that 56% of respondents identified the reduction of prices of rice and other food products as the issue that should be given immediate attention by the administration.
Meanwhile, 31% of respondents believe the government should prioritize addressing corruption.
Other key issues cited by Filipinos include improving education and healthcare facilities, while a small portion of respondents said they had no opinion on the matter.
According to Stratbase Group President Prof. Victor Andres “Dindo” Manhit, the results send a strong message to the government — to never lose sight of inflation and to ensure food security, while also strengthening transparency and accountability in governance.
