After five years together, Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo are once again going their separate ways.
Elijah has confirmed that he and Miles have broken up, while asking their fans and the public to respect their privacy as they deal with the end of their relationship.
Speaking with Ogie Diaz, Elijah admitted that he initially wanted to keep the breakup private. However, he decided to speak up amid the growing speculations surrounding their relationship.
The actor chose not to reveal the reason behind their split, saying he did not want to go into details out of respect for Miles.
Elijah described their breakup as mutual and amicable, emphasizing that there is no hate between them.
He also admitted that their separation was difficult, especially since they had gotten back together believing that their relationship would finally last.
As they move forward separately, Elijah appealed to their supporters to stop the speculation and give them time to heal.
“Go easy on Miles, go easy on me. Let us heal,” Elijah said.
The actor also acknowledged that becoming friends immediately may not be easy after spending five years together.
Still, Elijah said he remains open to being friends with Miles in the future, adding that his love for her will always remain.
Miles and Elijah first confirmed their relationship in 2022.
They split in 2023 but were later reported to have rekindled their romance a year later after being spotted together at various events.
