Award-winning theater actress and Broadway legend Lea Salonga made history after being named among the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026.
Salonga became the first Filipina to receive her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recognizing her remarkable contributions to the international theater and entertainment industry.
According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Salonga’s star is the 2,855th star on the famed landmark and was awarded in the Live Theatre/Live Performance category.
Salonga is best known for her iconic performances in “Miss Saigon” and “Les Misérables” on Broadway, as well as providing the singing voices of Disney characters Mulan and Princess Jasmine in the animated films.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a famous cultural landmark in Los Angeles, California, visited by millions of tourists every year who come to see the stars of their favorite celebrities.
