Iran denied that a ceasefire agreement has been reached with Israel, countering the earlier statement made by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Trump had announced that both countries agreed to a ceasefire, but Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi clarified that no formal agreement took place.
According to Araghchi, Iran will not continue its military offensive if Israel halts its attacks before 4 a.m. Tehran time. However, the Iranian military offensive remains active until the specified deadline in response to what Iran claims was Israel’s initial attack.
Araghchi emphasized that Iran’s actions are purely defensive. He also expressed gratitude to Iranian soldiers for defending the nation.
He further stated that Iran is prepared to fight to the last drop of blood if Israel launches another attack.
The situation remains tense as both sides maintain their positions.
