BINI Mikha raises concerns over Pax Silica’s water consumption in Tarlac

BINI member Mikha Lim has expressed concern over the potential high water consumption of the planned Pax Silica industrial hub in Tarlac.

During a livestream, Lim questioned whether the benefits of the artificial intelligence industry would outweigh the potential impact of the project on clean water supplies and the country’s natural resources.

She also emphasized the importance of protecting the environment and farmers, urging the public to use their voices on issues that could affect local communities.

The government has said the planned Pax Silica hub will be developed across approximately 1,620 hectares in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac, and is expected to attract significant investments and generate more than 130,000 jobs once fully developed.
