Heavy equipment used in illegal mining now in PRO-10 custody

Police Regional Office Northern Mindanao (PRO-10) has taken custody of the heavy equipment used in the alleged illegal mining operations in Opol, Misamis Oriental.
Authorities confirmed that the machinery is now secured and being stored while proper investigation and documentation proceed.

The equipment was seized after police and local authorities raided the illegal mining site in Opol following complaints from residents.
The operation aimed to stop unlawful excavation and protect the environment from further damage caused by unregulated mining activities.
