Just months after being crowned the big winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11, rising star Fyang Smith is marking another proud milestone — her graduation from Senior High School.
Smith, 18, was part of Lyceum Alabang’s Batch 2025, completing her SHS journey under the Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) strand. Despite her track in business, Smith revealed that her heart is set on pursuing medicine, with dreams of becoming a surgeon in the future.
Her mother, Myrna Smith, took to social media to express her joy and gratitude. She thanked God, the teachers, and everyone who supported her daughter throughout her academic journey. She added that words were not enough to express how much they appreciated all the help.
From reality TV to academic success
Fyang Smith became a household name in the Philippines after spending 14 weeks inside the famous Pinoy Big Brother house. She emerged victorious in October, winning over viewers with her charm, authenticity, and determination. Since then, she has appeared in a handful of television programs and played a supporting role in the romantic fantasy film My Love Will Make You Disappear.
Despite her growing presence in the entertainment industry, Smith has maintained her focus on education. In a previous interview, she shared how much her academic performance meant to her even during elementary school. She recalled working hard to maintain grades of no lower than 90 and was proud to graduate as salutatorian.
“I didn’t want any grade lower than a line of nine,” she once said, emphasizing how important it was for her to excel academically.
Exploring her path beyond ‘PBB’
Though Smith completed the ABM strand, she has made it clear that her true passion lies in medicine. She is now considering college courses aligned with healthcare and eventually hopes to wear a white coat as a surgeon.
Smith and fellow PBB housemate Ibarra quickly gained attention as an on-screen duo. The two first appeared together in the music video for Regine Velasquez’s Wherever You Are. Recently, both were also announced as part of the voice cast for the Tagalog-dubbed version of the South Korean film Picnic.
As her entertainment career continues to blossom, Smith’s academic success proves she is more than just a reality show winner. With her focus now on higher education and future aspirations in the medical field, Smith stands as a role model for young fans navigating their own dreams.
Her journey from the bright lights of the PBB house to the halls of Lyceum Alabang shows a balanced commitment to fame and future.
