Fredderick Vida appointed as new Secretary of Justice

Those who break the law will be held accountable.

This was the firm statement of newly appointed Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Fredderick A. Vida as he vowed to uphold justice and accountability under his leadership.

According to Vida, President Marcos’ clear directive to him as the new DOJ chief is to uphold the rule of law, assuring that the department will hold violators accountable.

In his speech during the 89th founding anniversary of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Vida shared that he officially received his appointment earlier that day before attending the event.

It can be recalled that just last month, Vida was designated as DOJ Officer-in-Charge (OIC) following the appointment of former Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla as Ombudsman.
