Hours after the crowning of Miss Universe 2025, former pageant judge Omar Harfouch is now reigniting global controversy after releasing a new and strongly worded Instagram post accusing executives of influencing the results.
Harfouch’s update is now circulating widely online, appearing at a time when the public is still reacting to the final rankings and the scoring from the swimsuit, long gown, and Q&A rounds, which determined this year’s placements. The pageant completed earlier segments—national costume and evening gown—in the previous days.
In his Instagram post, Harfouch wrote:
“Miss Mexico is a Fake winner. I Omar Harfouch declared yesterday exclusively on the Americain HBO, 24 hours before the Miss Universe final, that Miss Mexico would win—because Miss Universe owner Raúl Rocha is in business with Fatima Bosch’s father. All details will be showed in May 2026 on HBO. Raul Rocha and his son urged me, week ago in Dubai, to vote for #Fatima Bosh because they need her to winn ‘because it will be good for our business’ they said to me!”
Before this new post, Harfouch resigned earlier this week from the eight-member judging panel. At that time, he claimed an “impromptu jury” had already pre-selected finalists ahead of the live competition in Thailand. He announced his withdrawal through an Instagram statement and mentioned the issue in an interview.
As of this hour, the Miss Universe Organization has not released an official response to his fresh accusations.
Updates are expected to continue as Harfouch’s post spreads rapidly across social media and fans demand clarification from pageant officials.
