Fetus found inside female comfort room at Negros Occidental Coliseum

A fetus was found inside the female comfort room of the Victorias City Coliseum in Negros Occidental on Oct. 2, with police investigating a 20-year-old student in connection with the incident.

According to police, the student was in line among beneficiaries of the LEGISHEAR program when she suddenly experienced abdominal pain.

She then went to the comfort room, where she experienced heavy bleeding and eventually gave birth to a fetus.

Police said the student, who was reportedly in a state of panic, left the fetus inside the comfort room and returned to the line before eventually going home.

At around 10 p.m., she returned to the coliseum to retrieve the fetus but was not allowed to enter by security personnel.

She was subsequently brought to the City Health Office for a medico-legal examination.

Police Major Judesses Catalogo, spokesperson of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, said in an interview with Brigada Bacolod that the Women and Children Protection Desk was preparing the appropriate case.

The incident remains under investigation.

Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the fetus and the events involving the student.
