Ex-Rep. Defensor no longer wants to file an impeachment complaint vs PBBM

Former lawmaker Mike Defensor said he no longer intends to file another impeachment complaint against President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

This came after they failed to file a third impeachment complaint when the Office of the Secretary General of the House did not accept it due to the absence of Secretary General Cheloy Garafil.

In an interview, Defensor said they held a meeting with his group to discuss the matter.

He said that, for him, he no longer wants to pursue the filing of the complaint.

Defensor explained that this is not because he no longer wants to push for impeachment, but because he believes the first impeachment complaint filed against the President has already been referred to the Speaker’s Office.

He added that while his colleagues still believe another filing is necessary, he feels that their efforts have simply been disregarded.
