Ex-Lawmaker Defensor: I’m ready to face possible charges

Former Anakalusugan Representative Mike Defensor said he is prepared to face any possible charges that may be filed against him.

Defensor made the statement as he arrived at the EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City to join a rally led by members of the Iglesia ni Cristo.

The protest took place a day after Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla announced that Defensor, Senator Rodante Marcoleta, and two other individuals could face plunder charges this week.

According to the former lawmaker, he has no intention of going into hiding and is ready to defend himself.

He also said he will continue speaking out against corruption for as long as he can.

Defensor stressed that the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects should not be overshadowed by the upcoming impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
