The cash assistance program aims to provide financial support to approximately 139,000 tricycle drivers in the NCR.

According to the DSWD, around P700 million has been allocated for the implementation of the assistance program.

Gatchalian expressed confidence that the distribution process will be completed within the next three days.

The DSWD said the payout will be conducted simultaneously at the designated centers to ensure faster processing of beneficiaries.

Officials also issued reminders to tricycle drivers who will receive the financial assistance.

Gatchalian urged beneficiaries not to crowd payout centers or line up all at once.

He emphasized that staggering the arrival of beneficiaries will help prevent disruptions to public transportation services and avoid inconvenience to commuters.

Authorities said the assistance program forms part of the government’s effort to support transport workers in Metro Manila.

The DSWD also assured that the payout process will follow established procedures to ensure the proper and orderly distribution of funds.

Officials added that coordination with local authorities and relevant agencies is ongoing to facilitate the implementation of the program.
