An alleged drug den was shut down in Panabo City, Davao del Norte following a buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of four suspects early Friday morning.
Authorities identified the primary suspect as alias “Agaw,” 27, who was described as the alleged maintainer of the drug den. He was arrested after allegedly selling one sachet of suspected shabu weighing about one gram to an undercover agent for ₱8,000.
Also arrested were alias “Tasyo,” identified as an alleged employee of the drug den, and two alleged visitors, alias “James” and alias “Raymart,” who were present at the time of the operation.
Seized during the operation were eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu of various sizes, weighing an estimated total of 15 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱120,000. Authorities also recovered assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money.
The suspects will face charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They are currently under custody pending the filing of formal charges.
The operation was conducted at around 2:55 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2026, at Purok 4, Barangay Consolacion. It was carried out by agents of the PDEA Davao del Norte Provincial Office in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, the 2nd Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Panabo City Police Station.
