DOT hopes more restaurants will be recognized by the Michelin Guide next year

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco has confirmed that there will be another round of visits by the prestigious Michelin Guide to various dining establishments in the Philippines.

This comes as the global restaurant and hotel rating system prepares for its next edition in 2027.

According to Frasco, the coverage will remain the same, but the DOT is hopeful that more locations will be included in the Michelin Guide’s visits.

In the next edition, the agency hopes that Pampanga will be among the areas visited.

The DOT also assured its full support for Michelin.

It can be recalled that in the recently launched 2026 edition of the Michelin Guide, more than 100 food spots in Cebu, Metro Manila, and other areas in the country were included.
