DOH reports no Ebola cases in the Philippines

The Department of Health (DOH) has emphasized that there are currently no Ebola cases in the Philippines.

DOH spokesperson Undersecretary Albert Domingo made the statement amid the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

In an interview, Domingo said there is no reason for Filipinos to panic since no cases have been detected in the country.

According to him, the risk remains low for now, especially because the Philippines is far from West Africa.

He also noted that the World Health Organization (WHO) has not recommended any travel ban, and the Philippines likewise will not impose one.
