Digital Pinoys warns vs ticket scalpers, scammers

Digital Pinoys has renewed its warning to the public, particularly fans of K-pop group BTS, to be cautious of ticket scalpers and fake online sellers targeting those who failed to secure tickets during the official ticket sale.

According to Digital Pinoys National Campaigner Ronald Gustilo, with concert tickets already sold out, fake sellers, scammers, and opportunistic scalpers are likely to take advantage of desperate fans searching for tickets.

Gustilo said the organization has repeatedly observed this pattern.

He explained that once tickets are sold out, fraudsters quickly flood social media platforms, online marketplaces, and messaging applications, offering fake or non-existent tickets to unsuspecting buyers.

As a result, fans are urged to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to such schemes.

Gustilo stressed that concerts should be a celebration for fans and not an opportunity for scammers and scalpers to profit.

Digital Pinoys also called on authorities, ticketing platforms, social media companies, and lawmakers to work together to strengthen consumer protection and combat ticket-related fraud.
