SUBLING nagpahimangno ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) sa Region 12 sa pipila ka mga ecotourism establishments nga tinud-anay nga tumanon ang mga existing environmental laws and regulations may kalabutan sa ilang operasyon sa rehiyon.
Sa presentasyon atol sa SOX Tourism Summit nga may tema nga “Rethinking Tourism,” usa ka activity nga gipangunahan sa Department of Tourism XII niadtong Martes, alayun sa selebrasyon sa World Tourism Day, gihingusgan ni DENR-12 Enforcement Division Chief Forester Dirie Macabaning ang suporta sa ahensya sa ecotourism development apan angayan nga sila ang compliant sa mga gipatuman nga balaod.
Sa maong event, gipresenta ni Macabaning ang mga environmental laws sama sa Republic Act (RA) 7586 o the National Integrated Protected Area System; RA 9147 o Act for Conservation and Protection of Wildlife Resources and their Habitats; RA 9072 o National Caves and Cave Resources Management and Protection Act; Presidential Decree 705 o Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines ug uban pang environmental laws.
Tambag usab niini sa mga mitambong gikan sa nagkadaiyang line agencies, tourism accredited establishments ug tourism officers gikan sa nagkadaiyang local government units nga makig coordinate ug i-verify sa DENR office ang estado sa yuta o ang classification sa yuta nga giukopahan alang sa ecotourism development projects aron magiyahan.
