Former Senator and Chief Justice Leila de Lima denied accusations that she is the “Queen of all drug lords.” She called these claims “absolutely false” and “slanderous” during the Quad-Committee hearing on November 13, 2024.
De Lima stressed that she has been cleared of all drug charges. She pointed out that in 2016, prosecutors filed three drug-related cases against her, but she was later cleared. According to De Lima, the accusations were part of a plan to draw attention away from other issues.
De Lima also reminded the public that she spent seven years in prison due to what she believes were politically motivated charges. Despite everything, she maintains that the accusations against her were false and part of a larger effort to attack her.
