CSC bans government employees from all forms of gambling

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has strictly prohibited government officials and employees from participating in any form of gambling.

This includes both online and in-person gambling activities.

According to the CSC, the ban covers staying in casinos and gambling establishments, engaging in online gambling such as online casinos, e-bingo, and e-sabong, as well as organizing or taking part in any gambling activities.

The agency explained that the measure aims to strengthen integrity in public service and uphold the principle that public office is a public trust.

The prohibition was published yesterday and will take effect 15 days after its publication.
