Court explodes as Diddy nearly ejected for ‘influencing jury’ while witness claims he dangled her from 17-story balcony

Sean “Diddy” Combs received a serious warning in Manhattan federal court Thursday, as his behavior during a heated testimony nearly got him removed from the courtroom. U.S. District Judge Jesse M. Subramanian addressed Combs’ defense attorney after the artist was seen nodding emphatically during key witness testimony.

The judge said Combs’ gestures could be perceived as jury tampering or an attempt to influence the panel. Subramanian stated that if it occurred again, the court would consider issuing a limiting instruction or potentially removing Combs altogether.

The moment added tension to an already explosive trial, where Combs faces serious allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Alarming Accusations from Key Witness

The warning came during the cross-examination of Bryana “Bana” Bongolan, a longtime friend of singer Cassie Ventura. Bongolan accused Combs of physically assaulting her in 2016. She said he once dangled her over a 17-story balcony and later threw her onto patio furniture.

She also alleged that Combs threatened her life, telling her he was the devil and capable of killing her. During redirect examination, Bongolan confirmed she had no doubt he held her over the balcony.

While the defense tried to cast doubt on her claims, pointing to inconsistencies and her continued contact with both Combs and Ventura, Bongolan held firm.

Defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland grilled her about drug use, unreported injuries, and why she kept in touch with Combs after the alleged attack. Westmoreland also questioned whether Bongolan knowingly included false claims in a civil lawsuit drafted by her former attorney.

When asked if she accused Combs of sexual assault just to support a lawsuit, Bongolan said it was hard to commit to the full sentence but did not retract her previous statements.

Courtroom Drama Unfolds as Trial Continues

Tensions in the courtroom have been rising since the trial began. Combs, who has denied all charges, now faces a judge who is not tolerating any courtroom theatrics. The courtroom showdown continues later this week, with another alleged victim, identified only as “Jane,” expected to take the stand.

Despite the defense’s attempts to discredit Bongolan, prosecutors are doubling down. They pushed her to reaffirm that Combs’ actions were real and traumatic.

The incident adds to the growing list of accusations facing Combs. With courtroom behavior now under scrutiny, both his legal team and the public are watching closely.

As noted by GLOBE Magazine, this case is shaping up to be one of the most high-profile legal battles involving a music mogul in recent memory.
