A couple spent their Valentine’s Day behind bars after being caught with suspected marijuana during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tigayon, Kalibo, Aklan on Thursday morning, February 13.
The suspects, identified as alias “Ron-Ron,” 26, and alias “Ella,” 25, are residents of Rizal St., Poblacion, Kalibo, Aklan.
Authorities from the Kalibo Municipal Police Station said the couple sold two sachets of suspected marijuana to an undercover officer in exchange for ₱1,000 marked money.
During a body search, police also recovered several drug paraphernalia from the suspects.
Investigators revealed that some of their alleged customers were students.
The couple is now facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
