Cool weather persists in parts of PH; temperature in Baguio drops to 9°C

The northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, continues to bring cooler weather to several parts of the country.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the temperature in Baguio dropped to 9°C.

The cooler temperature was also felt in Metro Manila, where Quezon City recorded 19.7°C.

This is among the coldest temperatures recorded in the National Capital Region during the amihan season.

Aside from these areas, cooler weather was also experienced in parts of Northern and Central Luzon.

Temperature in Basco, Batanes was recorded at 17.2°C, while Casiguran, Aurora logged 18.4°C.

PAGASA said the northeast monsoon is expected to continue affecting the entire Philippine archipelago in the coming hours.
