Honoraria for teachers in Antipolo special polls to be released immediately

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Erwin Garcia announced that teachers who served in the special elections in the 2nd district of Antipolo will receive their honoraria tonight, on the same day the polls were held.

According to Garcia, the payments will be released once election materials used in each precinct are delivered.

He said teachers who participated and assisted in the elections will no longer have to wait 10 to 15 days to receive their honoraria.

Garcia added that the poll body plans to implement the same system in future elections nationwide.

The Comelec chief emphasized that the release of honoraria should coincide with the delivery of election materials.
