The Comelec Employees Union (EU) has intensified its call for Filipinos to vote wisely in the upcoming elections.
Members of the Comelec-EU, composed of more than 5,000 rank-and-file employees nationwide, hung a tarpaulin at their office in Intramuros, Manila, urging the public to make the right choice in both the national and local elections.
According to Mac Ramirez, the union’s campaigns and advocacy director, every citizen in a democracy has the responsibility not only to vote, but to vote conscientiously.
He emphasized that voting is a direct way to ensure that leaders with integrity are elected into government.
Their message: wake up, and vote wisely.
The union added that through voting, people hold the power to ensure a government that is clean, honest, and committed to improving the lives of its citizens.
