Nagpahayag ng suporta ang local political bloc sa Cebu City na binubuo ng Partido Barug, Partido Kusug, Panaghiusa at Marino party-list para sa presidential bid ni Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go sa 2022 elections.
“The die has been cast. Consistent with our position to align with who President (Rodrigo) Duterte anoints to lead our country after his term, and as members of PDP-Laban, our group… in Cebu City supports (Go) for president under PDDS (Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan), Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan,” saad ni Rama sa isang public statement.
Kaugnay nito, positibo si Cebu City Acting Mayor Michael Rama, na maipagpapatuloy ng liderato ni Go ang malakas na socioeconomic measures ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
“Yes, we can have the continuity that we want to have. The Duterte administration has many significant programs, the Build, Build, Build that amplifies inter-connectivity is one. The campaign against drugs, corruption and criminality has also transformed our country into a golden age of good governance,” giit ni Rama.
Sa isang pahayag naman, nagpapasalamat si Go sa naturang local group, at sinabing ang naturang suporta ay nagbigay sa kanya ng mas maraming dahilan para lalo pang magtrabaho, para matiyak ang total victory.
Binigyang diin ng senador na ang Cebu City at ang buong island province ay nakakita ng malaking pagbabago na nakamit sa ilalim ng Duterte Administration.
“It is in Cebu City where we established the country’s first Malasakit Center last February 2018 when I was still the Special Assistant to the President. Next to the National Capital Region, the whole Cebu province hosts six Malasakit Centers that cater to particularly poor and indigent Cebuanos,” pahayag ni Go.
“Cebu, also a home province of our President, saw massive infrastructure projects, being the economic hub of central Philippines,” dagdag ng mambabatas.
Sa gitna nito, nagpasalamat ang mambabata sa lahat ng Cebuanos para sa kanilang patuloy na suporta para sa kanya at kay Duterte.
