Bea Alonzo drops cyber libel case against Cristy Fermin

Actress Bea Alonzo has accepted the apology of entertainment reporter-columnist Cristy Fermin.

This comes alongside Bea’s decision not to pursue her cyber libel case against the journalist.

In an official statement released through Garcia Elauria Ruanto & Associates (GERA) Law Office, the actress said she accepts the public apology issued by Fermin and her co-hosts and co-accused.

According to Bea’s lawyer, Atty. Joey Garcia, after two years of legal proceedings, the matter has gone through the due process provided under the law.

He added that the process was not easy for either side.

The statement emphasized that the decision was not an “act of retreat” or a “concession.”

Rather, it was described as an “act of resolve” aligned with forgiveness.

Bea also views the move as a way to close the chapter with dignity and peace.

Meanwhile, the actress said she now intends to focus on what truly matters—her work, her advocacy, and her role as a woman who uplifts others.

It can be recalled that in 2024, Bea filed a cyber libel case against Fermin, Wendell Alvarez, and Romel Villamor over alleged defamatory statements.
