Aurora Gaming PH secured the MPL Philippines Season 18 crown after taking down Team Falcons PH, 4-2, in the grand finals at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Jan “Domeng” Delmundo powered Aurora’s championship run and earned Finals MVP honors after delivering key performances in the final three games of the series.
Aurora’s title victory capped a remarkable turnaround, with the team overcoming a difficult start to the season and doubts about its chances of reaching the finals.
Domeng said the squad initially aimed only to qualify for the M8 World Championship, making the MPL title an even bigger achievement.
Both Aurora and Falcons have secured spots in the M8 World Championship, set to take place in Istanbul, Türkiye, in January.
Aurora now eyes another historic milestone as it looks to become the first team to defend an M-Series world title, while Falcons seeks its first world championship crown as an organization.
The two Philippine representatives will also aim to extend the country’s dominance in MLBB esports, with Filipino teams winning every M-Series world championship since M2.
