Various groups, including the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN), are set to hold another protest rally on September 21, 2026, dubbed “Baha sa Luneta 3.0,” to reiterate their calls against corruption and other issues confronting the government.
The groups said the demonstration will push through as they continue to see a lack of significant government action in addressing the country’s pressing concerns.
In an interview with Brigada NewsFM Manila, BAYAN Secretary General Mong Palatino said the government has yet to take meaningful action on issues involving alleged corruption, the unresolved flood control controversy, pork barrel, and other concerns.
Palatino said protesters will once again bring their calls to the streets on September 21 to highlight what they described as government failures and remind the public that the fight is far from over.
He also pointed to the recent flooding in several parts of the country, saying the situation can no longer be described simply as “Baha sa Luneta,” but has already become “Baha sa Luzon.”
